I wonder if the other way around (converting the neo into a ceo) would be the easier way. Maybe it is also possible to join both projects since there are not so many differences (as far as I know only winlets, engine models and engine sounds).

Do not use images in perspective projection (photos or screenshots) to judge correct modelling. Instead get blue prints and compare them with renderings in orthogonal projection (you can do this in Blender). By the way: The A320neo from Atrix is much better.
