Re: more untruths
separate works... Siemens Solid Edge includes some GPL code... That's much like the case of a Linux distribution; it is an aggregation of many component parts; some of which are licenced under the GPL. As I pointed out earlier clause (2) in the GPL V2 specifically allows aggregation which is how Li...

Re: more untruths
The GPL licence does not have the right to tell me how I can distribute the work.... it kinda does if you distribute copyright material then you need a licence to do so; and the terms of the GPL require derivative works to also be licenced under the GPL. Wikipedia calls this the Viral nature of the...

Re: more untruths
The author of any file has copyright and can choose whatever licence(s) they please. If an author chooses a licence then you have to abide by that licence or not distribute. The issue of mixed licence isn't that complicated. If you distribute something (e.g. a zipfile) that contains even a single GP...

Re: axis system
Interesting stuff; please add to the list as you think of more, even though most of those don't apply unless using your approach it's still interesting. Also I think the LD ratio will still be valid for comparison between axis systems. After some thought I realised that because moments are always in...

Re: Elevator effects
I'd also like to say 'Hats off to you' Richard for your FDM supporting documentation... The presentation of this to FDM detractors is exactly the responce I'm calling for when dealing with Helijah's JSBsim opinions. That said, I'd like to see a bit more detail on how you get to your inertia values....

Re: Elevator effects
Well it's a bit complicated... yet if I was to query just one thing.... LIFT INCREMENT DUE TO MACH... There doesn't seem to be any drop off at mach 1..... maybe it's the type of airfoil, I'm not too familiar with these fast jets, so I'm not saying it's wrong just that I'm not used to seeing this sh...

Re: Elevator effects
The point I hope I've got across is that I could continue to do this all night... either on this fdm or anyother anyone chooses. You've made your point - the C172 could do with some work on its FDM. If you want to review one of my FDM's feel free to either use the F-14, F-15 or my most recent OpenV...

Re: Elevator effects
C172... the plane we've all got, that comes with Flightgear. Which considering FG holds this up as a topl quality JSBsim flight model Possibly the model needs some review; maybe it has flaws in it- but then so do a lot of aero models. I have heard various folks complaining that the C172 is unrealis...
