These... bars? are at different angles.

Can someone tell me why?

The Why? Probably not, you'ld have to ask the original author. But if the model is done from a side view only, without accounting for the curve of the fuselage, maybe placing the windows too low in the fuselage's cylinder, while trying to match the side view's A-pillar angle...?

Do not use images in perspective projection (photos or screenshots) to judge correct modelling. Instead get blue prints and compare them with renderings in orthogonal projection (you can do this in Blender). By the way: The A320neo from Atrix is much better.

I know, I have the neo and I've flown it many times before.

Maybe, with my limited knowledge of how FG works, I could try a cockpit port.

Huh? Is that a new Airbus cockpit patent?

Kind regards, Vincent

No, that's my lack of knowledge of modeling at work.

Kind regards to you too :D

That's quite outstanding for a first modelling work FL2070!! WOW

EDIT

Now I see you have the cockpit misplaced up in the fuselage :P

Learning curves !! eh?

Well, I do consider myself to have a passing fundamental understanding of a 3d environment and of XML, but I never went any further than sounds. Now I am, and yes it is a learning curve.

Who knows, maybe I will do something worthwhile with modeling someday,

That'll be awesome FL2070

If you hit questions shoot them here, and we'll see how far we can go together.

For the issue pictured there, you have tow avenues to explore

  • Displace the object in the 3d software so to relocate its center in a way that it fits your shell, and it locates where it should on your cabin
  • Use offsets to relocate the object within your aircraft. Right-now it seems to sit on x,y,z = 0,0,0, but you can offset to move it around and find the proper values to get that cockpit to sit where you actually want it.
