1-2 paid staff positions and a supercomputing farm.
Yeah! sure!!
A supercomputing farm? Bullshit....
Well... coming from Thorsten, bullshit is not surprising....

I thought here difficult was to distribute it (TS, github), not generate it (1 pc, server farm), now i'm thinking is a mix of both aspects.

Such a non-sense Catalanoic.
Code: Select all
I wonder how it is harder to distribute than to generate Flightgear Scenery, and how is this impacting the possibility of updating terrain every release cycle?

The new guy seems to
still have the ability of thinking and concluding by his own.

Could someone tell hammersmurf aka Thorsten that we just finished a whole terrain regeneration for the WHOLE planet with Marvin (the octazilla PC) !!
He seems to think we are still doing only updates via patches.
All this FGMembers vs 'Official' FG makes me compare it to the Tesla vs Edison story

I actually got some old hardware and I'm thinking maybe installing some Arch linux on it with a very minimalistic installation but all tools to terragear and git push.
I'll think about it for a new world terrain update and I'll consider calling it

Nice idea. Full resource goes to terragear. I like it.
