In FG, I always find interestingly nerve-wracking to do certain type of landings in LGA.
I presume, in RL, with all the NYC air traffic, things get really hectic back there, and this could just add up to the tensions.

Certainly, YASM (yet another scary moment) for a very bumpy campaign, too.
I hope the FDM was not a YASIM one, or it could explain all this.

You know, aside of all political jokes, I am always happy enough if after a plane crash everybody can walk away in one piece.

Another political Joke
(Sorry guys, If I am too black-humored today)

The thing is that given this Campaign historically unorthodox stuff keeps finding its way into the news. Today we have that the candidate VP crash landed LGA... The photo of the crashed plane as posted by KL666 above seems to have a little problem in the usage of punctuation marks. I think it must be

Of course all passengers are ok, else i would not make a little joke here.

The plane was arrested by EMAS. That is a soft pavement at the end of the runway designed for wheels to sink in and stop the plane fast. It worked beautifully at this airport.

Yet the journalists demonstrate again to know nothing about aviation, and dramatize in the Guardian article (first post):

There is significant damage to the runway. You can see divots where the wheels of the plane had been.

Wrong. There is no damage to runway, but to the EMAS. It is designed to damage.
