okay, this is not about airfare-gear ...

to kick a male "in the gear", especially in connection with a female rape victim doing now the kicking, would that leave any question where this kick would hit?

But in earnest, i think the context can always give you a clue. Rape victim, mens gear [to rape with], that gives a reasonable clue where that kick might hit.
