Re: As the poll for FG Festival Spring Festival 2016 comes close
Hello all-- Although I haven't been participating in in the discussion, I have been following the thread. The Poll that IAHM-COL presents works fine for me with plenty of options to choose from for both Fall and Spring of 2016.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

1. Forcing non-European.
Your alternative to force one non-European event works, but I found it more "complex" (not un-understandable). I like the two polls variant much better. No need to "edit" or interpret locations. I'd also hate the position of enforcing an European like that
Agreed. It is what I tried to point out earlier.
IAHM-COL wrote:4. You did not indicated a selection between 1 and 2. I guess you dislike them equally both? In any case, feel free to abstain.
If you need an answer now I abstain, as my brain is filled with other stuff related to work so I just don't have any more brain power for this right now. If you guys are looking for consensus I think I should bow out of voting at this point. I wanted the community to just think through the options and discuss them openly and justify various alternatives, and we have. I'm good with that.
You guys go ahead.

Do I have to vote on this?

Nobody has to do anything ... it is an opportunity to bring in your opinion.

You don't.
You can.
I feel the point where a major community participation is more important is on the real polls. It will be great to gauge the community sentiment in what is the next festival area.
Hopefully elgaton won't need much more time to run these polls on Curtis' Forum, now.

I suppose I see this as something that used to be just presented without the need for a vote, in the past.
Re: As the poll for FG Festival Spring Festival 2016 comes close
I'm summarizing the discussion made here and opening the polls right now - hope it won't take too much time. I'll edit this post to include the links to the two polls as soon as they are ready.
Here they are:
As agreed upon before: the polls run for 15 days, each voter has one vote per area and can change his/her vote until the polls close. IAHM-COL/JWocky/SkyBoat will vote manually and I'll add their preferences to the tally.
