Jomo Memorial Group Flight

Postby SP-NTX » Sat Feb 22, 2025 9:50 am

On February 23rd, 2025, we will gather for a group flight in memory of Jomo, a remarkable contributor to the FlightGear community.

Jörg, known for hosting the EDDF Triangle event for many years, sadly passed away in early 2024. His contributions, dedication (and patience), and countless memorable ATC sessions will forever remain in our hearts.

To honor his legacy, we will fly the "EDDF Triangle" route.

Event Details:

Date: February 23rd, 2025
Time: 1800z (19:00 Local Time)
Departure: EDDF (Frankfurt)
Route: EDDF → ELLX → EDDK → EDDF

Whether you have attended Jomo's ATC Sessions regularly, never ever had a chance to take part in his EDDF Triangle, or simply want to pay tribute to FlightGear legend, we invite you to join us for this special flight.

More details will be posted later.

Kind regards,
SP-NTX

For those flying airliners and jet aircraft, we will follow the main EDDF Triangle route:

EDDF → ELLX → EDDK → EDDF (landing at each airport).

For GA pilots, we have planned a shorter route that keeps the flight time comparable:

EDDF → EDFV → EDRS → EDDF.

ATC services will be available at EDDF.

Kind Regards,

Good event, in memory of a long lasting contributor to multiplaying.
RIP Jomo!

Thanks SP-NTX for organizing. I had luck succesfully completing every landing on the event

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?
