Crash Party [SAT 8/11/2018; 15:20-18:20 UTC; KRSW]
Hi guys,
It's been a long time without flying for me, and I'm yearning some cockpit hours, and flying along with friends.
After the USA tour was concluded for a year now, I've had very little activity on the sim-airs, but some nostalgy of the good times.
J. and I had talk about I planning for a new tour. In the mean time, while I figure out exactly how I'd like to plan that, I was hoping to start practicing a bit, and thus J. and I are going to send out here an invitation for a last-minute invitation for a multiplayer event.
(I'd call it the crash party because due to lack of practice neither J. or I expect any sucess on the landing, but we surely will try. The idea is not to crash, but to try our best for a succesful landing, thou)
When and Where?
A very last minute invitation for this Saturday 8/11/2018 at 15:20 UTC, we will be departing Southwest Florida International Airport (KSRW)
The event will last about 3 h.
Flight plan?
gcmap
Sure. We will be going to Islip/McArthur Airport in Long Island, NY. The filed flight plan will be
Skyvector
Cruise?
We'll fly at FL280/0.78 Ma. With a route of near 1000 nm, we expect around 1:55 min en-route.
Kind of Aircraft
Open to any Jet airliner that can match that cruise (or safely keep it). Let us know what plane you'll bring if you join, so we dont get (or not many) yellow gliders. (any jet airliner means any era, passenger number, engine numbers, etc, etc; but a plane that is used or has been used to transport civilian population in a commercial setting.)
Coms?
We'll use mumble for voice over. If you don't have it already is opensourced, free and available to any OS here:
https://www.mumble.com/
Anything else I need to join?
Yes. Obviously having Flightgear Flight simulator installed and tested. And willingness to have some fun in this simulator. We'll fly on the Flightgear Multiplayer servers, and thus there is, AFAIK not a work around over this one.
Best, IH-COL
