Bell 412

Postby valery » Wed Jun 08, 2016 5:23 pm

Hi,
some pictures on the Bell 412 in progress ; despite the fact the aircraft is playable, I cannot publish the big mess yet (40% of the texture I use are not mine, I rebuild all of them ...).
I put the whole mess here https://goo.gl/photos/a95tJ5fvGWTfXzbQ8, if someone knows a good free pictures storage ... (pastebin => pastepicture ?) [EDIT : it's ok now]
picture1: the Bell in action, the FDM is not completed but it is working very well.
Image

picture2: the interior is pretty completed. One complete day to texturize ... :o)
Image

picture3: showing the callsign/immat feature with a rasterized dirty-like font.
Image

picture4: the cockpit and the main panel with 4 instruments working (but not still completed).
Image

Online soon ...

:o) -- no risk with this one, it is easy to fly with it ... coming soon on git, but the time I spend to expand instruments don't contribute to finalize all the textures .. good progress on this anyway.
Last done : altimeter, so I don't need the HUD anymore. This heli is f#%ù nice to fly !

now hard things are coming ... rotor, torque and rpm instruments. They are tied to the engine and the fdm. I found some nasal functions in the bo105 (single engine), but I can't figure out some value to calculate the torque. Another issue is the "mast" torque needle I found on some 412.

This is a 412 panel with a "single" (engine only) torque instrument (found on an army heli) :
Image

and this is another 412 panel with a "double" (engine and mast) torque instrument:
Image

Most 412 pictures I found on the net shows this "double" torque inst.

Q: If someone has any idea on what is the "mast" torque ... and any idea on how to calculate the torque from the fdm ...

Last pic: radio-alt (bottom right) is Ok, got the nasal from the 707. Torque, rotor and rpm in progress ..
