An airline that spends good money on safety by training their pilots properly, can not permit themselves to be sloppy on safety when it comes to maintenance. A well maintained aircraft can easily fly as long as the advised lifetime by the manufacturer. So if an airline that i trust has some old aircraft in it's fleet, i'll happily board them. e.g. The 747's of KLM are getting at a decent age now (some odd 25 years). But there is no reason to worry about them.
Kind regards, Vincent

I'd love to get on board of a properly maintained one! I miss the roar of the JT8Ds!!
