By my part I can recomend the ch-47 "Chinook" or the H-21C-Shawnee "Flying Bannana", I found them most easy to fly ever.

Appalachian (or Mingo County) Regional Airport, Williamson, WV

Hi All, we will be arriving to the Appalachian regional KEBD airport for the first half of the USA tour 42nd. But....

Such airport does not exist in FG! (just yet: Terrasync current view)


A scenery pack will be released that include some scenery updates, among these
A correct KEBD airport layout as seen in the satt views. This airport has been carved into the mountain. Well. really, it has been built on the plateau left by an old mine, so the perspective obtained by terragear is very credible too

In the images below you can see the small tarmac that we will be attempting to land on....

Had been created. And after installation of the scenery pack, the correct airport can/will be found in the correct location.

I have never flwon a helicopter before, I cant even get it to start up, how do i start up the tigre

Uh, IAHM, is it acceptable for me to play cold war, and shoot at everything along the way with the rockets and guns of the Mi-24?
I love that airport by the way!
Oh my goodness, I just remembered, I need to find a heli with a working autopilot, so I can leave it for short (max 20min) periods (most 2-3 min).
Otherwise, I will have to pause and use timewarp or something!

If so, does it have basic heading hold or even follow route manager functionality?

well if you want to go krazy with your Mi24, and scenify the ride of the Valkyries the best way possible, be my guest. I personally fly, instead of shoot, but it will be up to you

Rickenbacker Intl. Airport and Airforce Base, Columbus, OH

Hi All, our ultimate for the leg 42nd is KLCK, Rickenbacker Airforce base.

This base has a very large and amenable heliport for the USAF
SATT VIEW

Now, in addition to that nice feature, courtesy of D-LASER and his Project3000, it also contains nice and well located shared objects.

But,

The layout in terrasync is outdated



Interestingly, the location and 3D structure of this airport was obtained from a recently updated layout in the gateway, which D-LASER smart scripts convert to a shared objects list in FG. I just needed to reconstruct the airport layout in FG and now the whole thing falls nicely into place

VERY Recommended Scenery Package for the USA Tour 42nd

You won't be able to launch directly on KEBD, because Flightgear still does not recognize the ICAO (nor it will for a year or more)... so I recommend, for now use the following coordinates, if you wish to try it out

We can fly around upside down and stir the milk, banana, orange, strawberry, and whatever else.
That inspires a livery in my mind....

And there are a few nasal errors that I can't make sense of....
EDIT: Also tried the Chinook, couldn't fly that either.
