Open-sourced software / games

Postby HJ1an » Wed Dec 14, 2016 4:44 am

My boy is having some fun with these open-sourced games and software:

- SuperTuxcart https://supertuxkart.net/
- Minetest http://www.minetest.net/

Of course, we all know Flightgear

A few more that I can't recall, 'cause I'm at work. They are the 3D 1st Person shooter, a drawing tool like Paintbrush and a 'realistic driving simulator' one.

I hope you guys can list out some of the great Open Source software that we can all enjoy here.

I forgot about Nethack. That game was awesome. And frustrating.

TORCS - http://torcs.sourceforge.net/

Krita - https://krita.org/en (Paint software)

OpenCity - http://opencity.info/ < I'm a fan of original Simcity SimCity 2K but this OS version for me is a bit lacking polish

This got me real interested. I've been having the Diablo itch for a while now.

I really like Krita. I'm trying really hard to move away from Gimp and get into Krita. It's nice that Krita can open .xcf files too.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?
