While descending in the A320 neo I have found three symbols of vs in the PFD.
In the first version the VS is simply indicated without being enclosed in any rectangle.

In the second one its enclosed in a white rectangle.

In the third version it is enclosed in a yellow rectangle and also the aircraft does not descend in this case.

What do these mean?
