Apollo 11:
Finally finished my flight to the moon, simulating Apollo 11. Here are some screenshots I took. I lost the ones I took in Earth orbit and launch, excuse that.
Re-entry and landing was at night, so the pics are a bit dark. Sorry. The hardest part of the entire flight was re-docking the Lunar Module with the Command and Service Modules, as they needed to be in the same orbit, at the same velocity, and pointed towards each other. I flew a manual re-entry, which was also difficult.
Software used:
* Orbiter 2010 P1
* Orbiter D3D9 Client R15
* Orbiter Sound 4.0
* AMSO 1.21
* Lunar Transfer MFD 1.4

Re: Orbiter: Apollo: To the moon
I might stream the next flight I do. You can watch of you want.
I recommend reading a lot about how Apollo CSM, LM, and Saturn V work before trying this. Also space aerodynamics.
Kind Regards,
Josh

Re: Orbiter: Apollo: To the moon
Does it take you 3 days to get there?

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

Re: Orbiter: Apollo: To the moon
I used time warp during the Free Fall, when no RCS or burns were doing anything, the rest were done real time. (Except Moon EVA I only did 30mins). The whole thing took some 4-5 hours.

Did the same mission twice again now, feeling confident, going to try 12 next!
