Hi,

IAHM-COL wrote:1. Sad seeing you leave. But I do understand this is all because you prefer P3D. In that sense I do understand the superiority on visuals of P3D over FG.
2. You know this forum is open to pilots of simulators different to FG as well :D
3. I am thankful this even will be held in the FGMP

Haha, I thought you would be happy to see the annoying payware user leave

I had tried another network other than VATSIM called joinFS which is essentially the same as FG-MP but where all sims can connect without any ATC or such. But, it was not possible at the end :(
JoinFS dev wrote:I've had some brief discussions with an FG developer. Unfortunately, it's not that easy for me to directly support FG with JoinFS, but there might be some other possibilities that will help to make it happen. However, it's unlikely to happen any time soon, I'm afraid as there's still plenty of higher priority things on the list.

Thanks for you interest,
Peter

I wish to fly with you guys more but its just not possible to fly FG anymore after being used to p3d which IMO is giving not just visuals, but also high fidelity systems as well as FDM. But, I can understand everyone doesnt want to spend on paywares which is why I tried to push VATSIM among the community but again that was also not too recieved by you guys. So, I have no other choice anymore. I have tried whatever I could do.

Dont worry though I will be still here to annoy you guys :D Just a small retirement from FG.

4. I am thankful the aircraft of choice is also more open now

With regard to aircraft category I dont mind anyone in bringing whatever they like. Just try not to crash ;)

Honestly, I have to agree with SHM here.

While I fly now in P3D, XP11, and FG, so I get the best of each platform. I hope one day FG will have a large slew of complex and realistic airliners.

I'll join possibly if I happen to be available, but my medical situation might cause to miss it.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Last lap in preparation for the World's Challenging Approaches -6

We are meeting this Saturday (March 3rd) to fly Airliners to Gibraltar (LXGB)

The following is the list of confirmed participants. Flight will be completed in the FlightGear regular servers.

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATIONs:

* If you download the files with the zip snapshot listed above, rename the folder of the aircraft by removing the "-master", examples, after unzipping 777-master becomes 777
* The aircraft indicated with GIT* can also be obtained using git repository FGDATA Next generation with submodules. The branch in this event is currently the default branch being checkout by the repository. Just update the respective submodule if not done already

Code: Select all

Aircraft/IDG-A32X #SHM
Aircraft/737-800YV #KL-666
Aircraft/Concorde #V12
Aircraft/L011 #IAHM-COL

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Israel for the format :D

If I do, IDG-A32X.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

:? Had to cancel
the L1011 is not operating at all. The ITAUTOFlight does not engage.

The L1011 seems to use IT-AUTOFLIGHT V2.8 which was released in 2016, almost 2 years old -- and it's unsupported by me, as I don't remember much about it.

I suggest you update it to the latest V3.1.0 system.

Kind Regards,
Josh

I am not near my PC but on checking the mp map it shows FL430 while I'd set it for FL360. Lets see what it does next
