Speaking of MIG29pilot, MiG29pilot Still doesn't see why we can't hand a 50 or even 75 mile radius around EGOD to be controlled (or uncontrolled) as they will.

Well, when you find yourself up against against psychiatrists as well as the terminally-offended it's probably best to leave. Free speech? Only, it seems, as long as you don't upset sensibilities of the precious snowflakes, Ah, bless

Well. My opinion is that nobody owns any place on FG.
If someone were to decide to tower EGOD any day (festival or not), FGUK will be upset. It won't go further than that... because they can't prevent it to happen with zero-tolerance policies.
If a group decides to "photo-bomb" EDDF triangle with low-level military activities. Jomo will be upset. It won't go further than that either. He can't prevent it from happening.

Then it comes the "kind" agreement. Per example: How about not flying militarily uncontrolled while Jomo has scheduled service? Anyother time is fair game. How about not controlling EGOD if an FGUK event is planned? (which we learn, the plans and schedules are made usually only 1 week or a few weeks in advance!) If there is not FGUK activity planned, I find fair game if someone comes EGOD_TWR any other time.

Fair game seems to be an easy compromise. Zero tolerance policies seem to me unapplicable out of the lack of ownership.

That again, is just my opinion.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

Sorry Warty, you can not be taken serious. Are you actually older than 6?

Kind regards, Vincent

Why don't we all stop cracking skulls and just TRY o discuss this sensibly, calmly, and courteously, instead of bogging the thread down with bags of useless and pointless derogatory rhetoric?

Also please remember it's ONLY a simulator, a virtual event, not real life. People seems to forget that.

Well said, Adam
I find all the horror Warty is perceiving out of an UK event, rather premature, and rather unnecessary.
But I give him the benefit of cautionary planner. If only it were to happen... what would he do?

I advise him already to use his democratic power in the upcoming poll to prevent it.

HIstorically speaking, during the Spain Festival, A few friends of mine, under JAFVA service flew an small fleet from Edinburgh to Barcelona. A few flew stop on Madrid, others flew stop on Schiphol. About 6 pilots cruised the UK skies during a festival. No one seemed to react to that unsettling fact. In spite we actually had a sattelite EGPH_TWR service.

Historically speaking, ATC over Gatwick, or over Dublin is a rather common occurrence. I have never heard crying clamors of how terrible that is on the eyes of FGUK either.

I really wonder if Warty is really representing the FGUK sentiment, then.
