IAHM-COL, I mentioned it earlier but have you looked at this tool...

It uses the base code that you're using with a gui.
A tool for JSBsim Airfoil Modelling

Re: A tool for JSBsim Airfoil Modelling
I saw it the other day. I didn't understand how to use it. I find that maybe I am able to push xfoil directly from python too, but I'm investigating.
The code I am using at the moment was written by me from scratch and it is not extremely tested. So that's that.
(you made some tests, for the win)
At the moment still thinking how to expand its capabilities.
order of action for me:
1. make it possible to get xfoiled data from airfoils inputted
2. handle polar data produced by xfoiled data
3. understand and implement the downwash (other topic in the forum): Here, I still failing to grasp anything past the simplest premise, and I can't figure out what calculations underlie

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?
