If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

Ah that wonderful 3 week period in Eugene when the temperatures hover around 36 degrees and the visibility drops to half a city block. My favorite bicycle commuting weather.

Yeah there's a reason for that, it's called Willamette Valley winter smog. Some of the nation's most persistent temperature inversions happen in Eugene.

I really really like the Beagle Pup splash. Very simple and original

 I like simplicity but the truth is that I had to take the non-GPL photos of real aircraft off my test splash screens before they went to FGADDON.

Beagle stood for (B)ritish (E)xecutive (A)nd (G)enera(L) Aviation ... a name contrived with an acronym in mind if ever there was one. All the aircraft were then named after dogs - the Husky, the Airedale, the Terrier, the Basset and the Pup. If they'd known about Google and YouTube, they'd have chosen a different name.

@ MIG29pilot -- Send me 3 different Splash Screen mock-ups by PM so I can work with you on the look that I want. Then, we'll do an official unveiling.

Thanks,
