Broken Airport runways or ones which need new layout

I revised the runway threshold coordinates on SCIR. The airport location is perfect, so the reason it lies out of the island suggest an error in the elevation profile and the landclasses.

Out of my league.

The runway location agrees with the satt views.

The terrain quite does not. It seems the island drifted East. But the airport was left behind

I havent push this anywhere, I am kind of uncertain of whether it is worth.

Looking at how the terrain south the runway seemed to lift in a vertical, I feel the SRTMs are OK, but the land-class is displaced. Now you are onto QGIs, this island would be an excellent test -case to sharpen your landclasses edition skills SM.

Sounds rather like what happened in Hawaii -- where there was a volcanic hotspot making an island, but plate tectonics moved the islands west, and another island was made

Can you edit that QGIS?
Maybe make a little more complex landclasess? Some sand? some bushes. A few tundra in the heights?
Once we fix the landclasses, this airport gonna look way better!!
