Well, the more ya do, the more ya know, and the more ya know, the faster you can probably do it!

Hoping for the MD-11 being out in one or two days. Good sources of MD-11 sounds are hard to find.

Oh damn! You're that fast?!
@IH.COL: We are not currently working on it since Josh is having a break and I'm working on other projects right now so expect 2 or 3 weeks before this will be done.
Also, 411 lost significant updates of the KC some days ago so before we have to remake those and then we can think about sounds.

Anyway, thanks a lot FL2070!

Quick question: I might want to replace individual sounds for aircraft you won't touch - what's a good source for sounds in your experience?

Well, a lot of my sounds are recorded by me, but I use various GPL sources as well, such as sounds from other FG aircraft ranging from ported over to heavily edited.

I remember FL2070 one time saying he recorder a vacuum cleaner, which is a cheap source to imitate jet engines, and it does get the job done if you then use audacity to distort/edit... whatever

Also, if you have a wife or a sister (or resort to Mom/ Aunt etc) they have hair-blowers. I dare to suggest that a good hand-made =jet engine sound source as well.
