Clarifying my point, just so nobody get's offended that I think that every teenager is stupid and they shouldn't be allowed online (which I don't, obviously, being one myself)

My point is:
By the age of 13, surely most people should be capable of holding a proper conversation, with at least an attempt at proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling? Surely by 13, one should make an attempt to improve your writing style and comprehension of what other people are saying?

This all is apart from non-English speakers, (which is alright -- let's help them improve by kindly pointing out mistakes in private and giving them advice), and people who unfortunately have such disabilities as dyslexia or autism.

I'm a teenager and a non-English speaker, I'm 17 and I agree to some parts you wrote above.
Regarding grammar, I'm sure that while speaking/writing in English I make some mistakes (even if I am able to get 10 out of 10 in an English writing test) and that's also why I like to read/write topics, speak/listen with/to my English friends on FG, to improve, what everyone should aim at ;) .

Exactly!
You do incredibly well for a non-english speaker :)
In fact, it was only when I checked your profile that I realized that you were not British, as I though you were, since you were part of FGUK and all :)

Thank you! :D
I'm quite good at English also because I started when I was really young, and this makes the difference. ;)
Also, (I suppose) I'm the first Italian who joined FGUK. So much fun and learning with 'em.

My English is horrible, but it has gotten better, lets see where I was when I joined this forum:

it0uchpods wrote:I think you should work most on cockpit right now, as rest seems pretty good. 727 is my favorite plane, and very glad is comes to FlightGear!

Or worse:

it0uchpods wrote:OK people. I maybe not be able to work on this much, my PC is having much problem. Apologize.

it0uchpods wrote:Ah OK. This is making the sense now.

That last quote seems to be similar to my famous quote:
The all powerful WTF411 (it0uchpods) wrote:The sense you are making is NOT!!!

Teenagers are immature because they are teenagers ... if they would be already matured, they would be old cynic sacks like me ...
