Free software is a matter of liberty, not price. To understand the concept, you should think of free as in free speech, not as in free beer.

In other words, that it comes at no charge does not make it any more free-software. It is still software that because of its licenses is ethically unusable.

The VATSIM community has quite a lot of influence on decisions and new members for the board can apply if they want when a spot opens up. In my opinion, the VATSIM "project" works way, way, way better than the FG project. See, here in FG everyone tends to take a shit on each other, then proceed to try and make someone look very bad... In the end nobody gets anywhere.

Yes. Really.
FG is not great, but it's the only non-propietary complete Flight Simulator with a community and a multiplayer scene. (Xplane is really propietary as well).
I grant you that FG sucks on many aspects, but it remains with no contender.

VATSIM? Not my kind of cake. A community of minions all using a collection of propietary softwares. Nothing like that will ever get close to "best of the world" 4 me. I am not a slave.

Seems our way of looking at the world differ quite a bit then, but thats fine. I do however think you should not call it a "community of minions". If you use a different wording it may read a bit more nice, like you can also say in a polite way .

I'll miss jomo; I've been scolded by him (when spawning in at 10k over EDDF) and equally had a very pleasant and well guided approach.

Most ATC's are not very good; however one time someone was ATC'ing at KSFO and I requested permission to land, the ATC response was "please use correct procedures"; which I did and it all ended well, except maybe for a bit of grass on the undercarriage.

I get mildly irritated by ATC solicitation; as they're not following the correct procedure but usually just reply with "will contact you if I require service".

Once again you have completely failed to insult anyone, and only made a fool of yourself.

I contribute to the FGFS Project and help others, and am always learning more.

Lets say I do have an IQ of 1. What would that make you? -250 seems right to me. Of course, negative IQs are not possible, but in your case, I think it might be accurate!

Either i write strange, or you read strange. After having read at least 3 posts after another with the standard songs of negativity from Lydiot, i said:

we'll have to deal with the negativity of the likes of Lydiot again

To me this says: We may be disturbed by negative people, who are as negative as Lydiot (was in his previous 3 posts after another).

In no way can i make of it: Lydiot is a troll, or that he disturbs events. To me the only qualification in the sentence is: Lydiot is negative.
