Post here the craziest flight actions, we will make a poll at some point and do something with the pictures. Only hell knows what, but that's the nature of a Prize for outstanding Craziness!

The CRE700

Postby D-ECHO » Sun Aug 07, 2016 7:36 pm

Hi!
I don't know whether the category fits, probably not, but I couldn't find a better one :P
The CRE700 is a converted Bombardier CRJ700 with EchoAir200 double-fan electric engines:

Here is a closeup of the engine:

The orange marked parts are the two fans which are powered by the electric engine between them. The nacelle around them leads to a lower noise pollution (ducted propeller fan, as used also on the Edgley Optica).

the interior.
Now, what do you think of this? ;)

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

Thanks!
For your information, the electricity should come from fuel cells in the tail part of the body, fed by three high-pressure hydrogen tanks located insight the wings and in the wing fairing/lower body
