Frustrated and losing faith in FG

hello everyone, since downloading FG 2016.2 , i have had multiple problems, for over 3 months now, i have no idea what i did but aircraft won't auto or manual start, no buttons work, liveries don't work, terra sync barely works, and multiplayer is s****ing out on me.

I have deleted and re dowloaded FG multiple times and I'm not seeing any changes

Slowly giving up on FG, i haven't been able to fly in months, can someone please help get the flightless bird back in the air, i will appreciate it dearly.

For the terrasync issue, use terraGit.

the amin problem is flying itself, non of my aircraft ( updated this morning from FGMEMBERS ) appear to work, nav displays are out, mp won't connect half the time, all these little things, also i have no idea how to use teragit

Hello Kiwi,

So that is why i have not seen you for so long. Fg is still a tweakers kind of program. Many things change for the bad, so you need to know how to work around. Fellow fliers can be of help a lot. If you are on windows i can help. But you need to specify those things a bit more. It useless if i gave you windows tips, when you are on Mac for instance. But if you are on windows, we can go through your issues one by one.

Probably the easiest thing right now is to make your FGRun.exe the desktop opener for FG, it's hiding in the FG\bin folder. You'll have back your old familiar GUI. Delete or rename the default one and send to desktop and rename your fgrun.exe in fg/bin "2016.2_fgrun.exe" This new version of FG has been hijacked by the Garden Gnome Developers, has all sorts of aircraft filtering and other hoo-hah that makes the sim initializing experience less intuitive.

Hello everyone, thanks for the good responses, i ended up getting really frustrated and wiped my macbook just to get FG working, Its now working and i had my first flight in months this morning from EDDF-EDDH Good to be back in business
