I mostly use OpenSuse.
But have installed, and "managed":

* OpenSuse: My workhorse.
* Slackware. My very first linux experience. Still have an Slackware PC somewhere on my Mom's home (for her to use)
* Ubuntu. I have help some family members to maintain an Ubuntu linux System on their laptops. Maybe 2 or 3.
* CentOs. At work
* Linux Puppy (On an USB drive), when I want to leave No trace.
* Fedora. Installed this a couple of times. It took longer to install that to de-install (sorry :oops:)
* Gentoo. I love that damn thing. But it superseeds my interest with "hardware contact". It's just way toooooo geeky. I installed it once, and I was loving it, until I miserably failed to get the X-Window system with KDE4 going. After 1 week of a fight, it was time to drop back to good old Suse.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

I used a lot of OpenSue in the past, but somehow, for daily work, not as toy, Ubuntu became my favourite over time. I still have my beloved terminals but I can also do things more graphical and I find Unity more intuitive.
Puppy on a stick is a good last resort after everything is messed up and you need to hack yourself ;-)

I even keep my gpg and ssh credentials on the puppy. Last resort to get out of my worst nightmares

Centos for servers, and i have no problem using it on the few clients i have on linux too. So that should be the fedora choice i guess.

Kind regards, Vincent
