I've a question...
I don't fly much, mainly because I model too much and when I do attempt to fly other peoples planes I find that for realism purposes there are such things as fuels cocks and carb de-icing and batteries and what not....
ALL very good for realism but when it comes to aerodynamic flight testing they do make it rather difficult to see the wood from the trees..
Yes it's important to have these features, especially if your engine is liable to carb icing at certain humidities... and yes these should be tested to ensure they work as they're supposed too.
My point is if I want to see the handling characteristics of a plane, that's all I want to see, the other stuff is icing on the cake.
So can we not for flight testing purposes do away with all the other stuff and focus on what that particular test is about ?
Otherwise testing becomes a bit of a drag.
