"Dirty" air produced by main rotor reduces tail rotor efficiency as expected.

I am very excited to fly with your best of the best

Re: Bell UH-1

Your model is becoming more realistic day by day. It is a natural reaction of the CCW rotors. Required torque is always higher for left roll.

Re: Bell UH-1

Yes that would make sense, but it''s effect on the main rotor rpm's should be minimal. Consider that both drive-shafts of the main rotor and the tail rotor are powered by same transmission. Sudden increase AoA of tail rotor peaks the power-needed to overcome profile drag. This causes to drop of the...

Re: Bell UH-1

E.g:
If you press left pedal instantly hard, rpm falls, both for Huey and Whiskey.

Re: Bell UH-1

I dont have a twisty joystick, sorry.

For easy use with twisty joysticks, enabling auto-rudder would be a good solution.

Re: Avatar Scorpion

It can be converted to solid and converted solid is enough for getting rough aerodynamic coefficients, drag data etc. Detailed solid model is required for FEM or if you want to get bending effects. As we get rough data, it would be easier to tune with hand and get more accurate models.

I have CFD knowledge and capability.
Send me the solid models and consider it done.

Re: Bell UH-1

Bomber is exploring helicopter dynamics by just writing FDM.
Whatif he educated in flight mechanics?
His vision is so valuable.
