Re: Treasure Hunting Tour: 09/07/2024 @18:00 UTC [ SKPC - SVMD]
Here's a thought; If we take a short break in Barinas at SVBI. Could those in slower planes elect to take the scenic route? Like following the Rio Santo Domingo up the mountain valley to our final destination? I mean, It won't be as fraught with struggling in recip powered airplanes that are at the ...

Re: For Side: turbo-supercharging fixed on Piper PA23
Hi Skyboat, Yeah I don't know I'm assuming both of the base Apache and Aztec airframes and interiors are the same, you're welcome to pirate whatever code pieces and changes I made off my model you want. just compare the Yasim FDM .xml, the convert.nas and the pedestal animation .xml I stopped short ...

For Side: turbo-supercharging fixed on Piper PA23
Something I noted when reading Helijah's notes on this plane is that the Aztek PA23 his model is representing has a turbo supercharged Lycoming 540. So I did some fixing. I also added my mouse control throttle levers so you can more easily control water steering when watertaxiing around on the float...

Re: Lester bodges 3 classic British WWII trainer aircraft.
Should note the DeHavilland engines are known as Gypsy Majors, they are a direct clone of the Blackburn Cirrus Major.
Not all quite ready for release yet, but the Tiger Moth is close.

Lester bodges 3 classic British WWII trainer aircraft.
OK one is actually a bit of fan fiction. The planes I'm working on are A DeHavilland DH82 Tiger Moth https://static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/2/9/6/9/a16275173-125-fgfs-screen-018.jpg A Taylorcraft/Auster DI https://static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/2/9/6/9/a18596413-39-AusterD1-1.jpg htt...

Yeah it's AlphaSim so I'm calling it for NonGPL CC, NC.
It's from the big public domain release of Alphasim aircraft 3D models.

Re: For Skyboat: Improved supercharging for the DC-5's P&W 1830
Yeah this is why it's best to have feedback on the flying and handling of the aircraft. The engines/engine[*]property tree generally reads the engine crankshaft RPM, at least for YASim flight models. So there's a couple small tweaks you can try: Adjust both engines and the "cruise" section...

Re: For Skyboat: Improved supercharging for the DC-5's P&W 1830
Well Skyboat starting at line 386 in the "convert" nasal is this code snippet var torqpourcent = mb0 * 0.244259892526; You want to change the decimal after the star-astrix to the decimal fraction ( 0.244249892526 ) I've posted above. do all 6 entries if you want, do at least two for both e...

Re: A Belfort Virtual Aerodrome production. A Bristol-Bulldog
So I've been making those nice Preview slide shows that FG 2020 supports and this release of the Bristol Bulldog has some nice HDR captures. Still in development, but this is flyable and pretty soon will have a few new skins to try out too. https://www.mediafire.com/file/2aoc3q39z2c7386/Bristol-Bull...

For Skyboat: Improved supercharging for the DC-5's P&W 1830
So Skyboat mentioned on our last outing that the Douglas DC5 had no supercharging, and my assessment of this aircraft was that Helijah's Nasal assisted engine coding was gimping this aircraft. So I'm going to post the new improved engine and propeller section coding with some caveats: The "conv...
