BIKF has terrible weather. It's usually blowing a gale too.

If you fancy a little charter trip, take a twin-prop passenger plane like a Fokker 50 or a Twin Otter up to Isafjordur (BIIS). At FL80 or something like that, it's a nice, scenic flight of about an hour and the approach to runway 26 is a nice finish -- or a nasty finish if you get it wrong ;)

You could also go historic and try and put a DC3 on there:

thats what I call short landing.
After he idles the engine and touchdown, most of that runway was unneeded luxury for that guy.

What amazes me about that landing is that there's hardly any change to the bank angle. It's just a smooth 180 degree turn from one side of the fjord to the threshold of the runway.

Arrived to Toronto Pearson in the 757, under the aptly named ICEAIR callsign.

Temperatures ranged from a frigid -03 C to a comparatively tropical temperature of 06 C.

We encountered pretty strong winds -- on both landing and arrival there was a 10 knot crosswind while enroute over BGBW I reported a 57kt crosswind over Mumble!

Israel.

American just closed their KJFK - SVMI. It was only open about two weeks.
I planned my schedule around flying that, arriving today to KJFK.

Any chance I could operate it 'in memory of the dear departed airline'?

If you want to know why it closed..... Venezuela.

Historical timetables are always ok.

IH-COL going to start his trip to Japan! :D

Hi All,
My last arrival was Memphis (in the USA Tour), and now will try to go to RJBB where I will be ATCing.

I'll try using soitanen;s new 737-800, which now feature (thanks to JAFVA VicePresident, Peter Coal - SP-K79) a livery of its own.
(technically it is the first "aircraft long term loan" by JAFVA!!)

So, today I am trying completing FDX route KMEM-PANC.

Wish me luck in the skies!!
