MD-90 - In progress

Hello. As you may know, the 747SP is my final project *for now*. But that doesn't mean I won't stop developing smaller things. I have released the MD-88 V1.0, and I thought, since the MD-90 is so similar, why not make an MD-90! The really only difference is the Engines, and possibly a slight stretch? Since I already have the MD-88 model, I was planning to use it for a base, so really all I would need is to modify the 3D model. If someone has some spare time, It would be great!

MD-88: http://www.thejabberwocky.net/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=352

MD-90 repo (Same as MD-88 right now): http://www.github.com/it0uchpods/MD-90

Thanks,

So the difference is 1.4 meter and engines from an A320 and the wing has to be move 0.5 meter towards the nose, maybe I've some spare time but I can't promise you anything.

Yeah I know your busy, don't worry about it, but if you can it would be great :)

I put up a GIT repo, but it is the same as the MD-88 for now.

Fuselage is changed:

I'll UVmap it the same as the MD-88 is UVmapped I guess.

Btw: And we've again the same animations problems as from the 747SP, due that the length changed, should I fix those too?

Wings, gear and control surfaces in place.

Now I only need to refurbish the V2500 engines from the A320-family and make them fit for the MD-90.

Do you even know how appreciative I am of you? Do you know any information on learning to 3D model? I only do simple things.

Thanks, it wasn't that hard :). I could show you with some screenshots how I've done it, maybe you could do these kind of things by yourself next time. I work quite a lot with 3d-model programs (Sketchup, Blender, AC3D (not my favorit)), at home and school (first we only draw in 2d since some months school started experimenting with 3d) and since a month I learned working with a 3d-program (Cura) for 3d-printing (free printing, lucky me :)) And sure, I know I'm not the best 3d modeler on earth :D.

Great. I have AC3D for the little modeling that I do. Let me know when those IAEs are on there, and I will adjust the FDM for the new engines and new weights.

The engines are placed, but I need to re-do the UV-map because the engines are rotated 90 degrees compared with the A320. I also needed to make new air intakes for both engines.

Probably I've got it done this week and with a default livery:
