Just downloaded the ground chart, opened my planetracker, and liveatc.

There's a youngish woman and a, well not old, but mature man, at least as controllers at Maiquetia.

Accents can be so terrible. I remember when I started listening to liveATC, I tuned in to Barcelona and for the next half an hour tried to determine whether they're speaking Spanish or English. Then I tried UK but UK was not covered because of some weird outdated law. So I ended up listening to the USA airports and thus learning everything the USA way.

I am switching this topic to sticky. LiveATC is something good to always have a reference to.

KJFK accents are the best.

Yeah but they don't get as much of the funny international accents.
Listen to an Air India at KJFK.

Boston's funny if not foreign. I live but 50 miles away from it.

You know, in half of those places, I wouldn't even understand what those guys want from me ... can you imagine a real life ATC yell at me Jomo-style because he thinks, I'm ignoring him intentionally?

A whole pile of departures got handed over to North Tower, the south 31L controller seemed to be in a bit of a panic.
Anyone any news? Just 2 minutes ago, if you want to check the archives.
2052 UTC, if you are waiting to depart, change to tower 119.1. New voice. Possibly the other controller had a medcal problem.
