One thing is GPL, and that's great. Other thing is to jump into "appropriating" and authoring a model without the due permission, lego.
Just because it is GPL does not grant you the "moral" right to upload thing to Terrasync. That's how I view this. If Horacio tells me: You know what Israel, I have issues with terrasync, and I don't want my model there, I think is fair to say: "fair point, I didn't model this one".
Keep in mind
1) When you upload to terrasync, you become "the author" of the object
2) Terrasync is a
CENTRALIZED repository -- the mean of centralized carries a lot of weigth, really.
Example, one thing is having a distributed repository with GPL content around (your repository), other very different thing is to change
THE repository (the flightgear content) when it really is something you did not authored. So, a "you are blessed to do it" from Horacio will be a better thing that a "It's GPL anyways" attitude here.
In the past I have uploaded Models from the Project 3000, made by D-LASER to Terrasync, I email him a "please let me do it
![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
" and he said "Please, do it". So that's great. And we had updated KLCK.
That courtesy and communication is something Horacio deserves after doing such beautiful work in Chubu. I think.
