I will try to fly, anyway.
It is really the roads which kill fps, did you add OSM roads?
I had 1fps, after removing osm2city at VHXX, removing roads fixed it, retaining the terminal, layout, and lights.

No lego . The scenery is fully custom. If you remove OSM you still get every airport building.
OSM2city only built the city. Not the airport.

And no. I did not add roads. They are already present as is in the base package... and you can take from terrasync; and I did not use OSM to recalculate roads.

Landing on Geneve. A test by firefly (note the fps marks)

I think we have succeed optimizing the performance with OSM2city :D

That is good; OSM ROADS kill my computer.
So, you dont have them, they dont kill it.
I know that, at VHXX I removed the osm2city to retain only terminal, checkerboard, and flashing lights.

So, what computer does Firefly have?
Since my laptop has an integrated GPU, it will likely not see the same results, but as long as I can fly, who cares about fps?!
I can practice autoland, with low viz!

he and I are both getting basically same fps without scenery / with scenery and with scenery + OSM
so the scenery is making zero difference.
(give or take)

I have a Dell m3800, Screen: 3200x1800, CPU: i7-4712HQ, GPU: Nvidia Quadro K1100M, RAM: 16 GB, HD: 512 GB SSD, OS: Ubuntu 14.04
I changed my screen resolution down to 1920x1080 so I could get decent performance with shaders maxed.

Ah, an i7 and Nvidia.
While my CPU is okay, and RAM is decent, my GPU will be a bottleneck. Should be flyable, though.

By the way, IAHM, those buildings seem to glow, just like the C-5 and 727 :P
My goodness, is the glowbug around?
Or do the textures need refined for light/dark spots, not fully glow?
Beautiful work though...
