Beautiful work.
In fact, some of the details, such as the Festival sign, could be added to LOWI, LSZS, and other controlled airports?
And maybe the OSM buildings could also be added around LSZS.

For what it's worth

The OSM2City tiles had been rejected for submission to terrasync. The technical arguments are not real problems, and these are unsolveable. The terrasync curators want every building to be separated mesh and submitted individually as its own object.

This is not possible over thousands of objects.

1. It is a work load that makes no sense
2. If eventually done, it will increase the draw calls and texture calls of the scenery to a point that really makes any computer you can imagine get unuseable.

That's quite a bummer, considering how nicely done the OSM2city in Geneve was. In addition to how optimized it was to run on any FlightGear capable computer!

Huh. They just don't want it to be uploaded by you, possibly?
So, how did LOWI get the OSM buildings in TerraSync?

it is not.
I checked LOWI
LOWI does not have the OSM2city package terrasynced.

Apparently no OSM2City package is accepted for terrasync submission, due to the fact that buildings are bundled.

Ok, too bad. :S
Can't really do anything about it. But, you did not submit airport yet, right?

No I have not submit yet.

I only submitted the OSM2City part. To keep that separated from the package.

I will submit soon. (maybe tonite my time)

You were asking before whether making LSZS OSM2City buildings? I see no point to create OSM2City packages, really.
the output is very raw, and needs tons of optimization to make it useable. A regular osm2city output is unfliable in your computer, per example, and only after optimizing, it works well.

Then, it cant be terrasync'ed anyways.

Cointrin Aiport is now Publicly released

Thanks to Firefly for joining me in this adventure of bringing another airport to live.

Geneve Airport is now publicly release and available in Terrasync.

If you had visited this area before, you may need to clean your terrasync cache in order to force a download. (or wait for the software to decide to clean the cache by itself).

As I indicated before, take a minute to explore night ops. You may have fun! :D This place may encourage you to keep the time set on real Local time :P

Enjoy!

Geneve Airport full fledged with Optimized OSM2City

The full city of geneve has also been built using fgradi's script OSM2City. The output has been heavily optimized to run much smooth and have only a minor FPS drop in most FG capable computers.

OSM2City is not accepted for publication in terrasync, but it is available for download at
