Chubu Centrair Intl. Airport - RJGG
REPOSITORY: https://github.com/FGMEMBERS-SCENERY/RJGG-fg-CustomScenery
Since the Festival location is chosen, and It will be next May on Japan, I had look upon the status of the Scenery for Chubu Centrair.
The Airport
The gateway to central Japan, Chubu Centrair, is located on an artifical island on Ise Bay in Tokoname, Japan.
The Terra-sync situation
The airport in terrasync contains only a single default layout, which basically floats funny over the Bay.
This situation is inherited from XPlane, where the layout still existing is quite exactly the same
The Scenery Package
For years, fligthgear had a developed GPL version of Chubu Centrair prepared by Horacio Contreras from the South-American Group "ViveFG". This version exists in the ViveFG group as a scenery patch.
Recently, due to the fact that the next Festival will be held in Japan, I decided to restructure this as a full-fledged scenery package (that can be used by simply redirecting the launcher or via the command line, to the specific directory).
After restructuring, I had got to test the outcome. And all I can say is
BRAVO!! VIVE VIVEFG!!
It is a gorgeous piece of Work,
Thanks Horacio

Updating Terrasync
Here the situation is a bit conflicting.
stage 1) Can we get Gijs de Roy to release the xdat he used to generate this terrain to the xplane?
Without doing this most buildings are just boats.
stage 2) Hope for the best so the new airport data (xdat) gets a generated terrain.
stage ) Can somebody contact "elflauta" (Horacio Contreras) on Curtis' Forum to request permission to upload this to terrasync on his behalf? (there could be a reason he did not upload himself).
With elflauta's blessing, I will be happy to format these objects Terrasync-ready and put them up.
In the mean time, luckily downloading the updated scenery package is as simple as

Everybody,
Have fun!
