The French have their famous Mont Saint-Michel on the coast of Normandy. I just found out the British have mimicked their own on their side of the Channel.

Kind regards, Vincent

With the small difference, the Mon St. Michel is a church and monastery while St. Michael's Mont was actually home to the St. Aubyns and fortification of the coast. So, depsite all similarities in the appearance, a total different purpose and architecture. And of course, St. Michael's Mont is not so much tourist napping than Mont St. Michel.

It's a bit much to say mimicked.... considering we're talking nearly a 1000 years ago... and British, nah I don't think so..

It was captured by a Norman knight for a King that spoke no English only French....
