I enjoy flying as it is something I have long appreciated. I appreciate the physics involved, I appreciate the amount of effort that has gone into aviation. Being able to fly 3rd and 4th generation fighters around in a flight simulator is something I find enjoyable. I do it for myself and for others (OPRF
), and I get the benefit of understanding more about what I have long liked.

I yes, have flying and controlling on VATSIM, but I have 2 different times.
* If I want to fly casually, I use FlightGear MP
* If I want to fly ultra-realism, I use FlightGear or P3D, with VATSIM
I love both for one reason. I love flight simulation, planes, and flying with friends. I have no hostile actions, simply just read the posts, and came to my conclusion.
I agree with you that VATSIM stuff should go in another post. I don't know anyone who flies with FGFS on VATSIM (they all went to another sim).
But I do not think SHM was trying to hijack the thread, nor do I think any arguing from either side is needed.

You do it for yourself, and by seeing how others enjoy your help/commitment etc... You give yourself something again!
Moral of the story, please dont do somethig unless you want it, you like it, and will make yourself happier by doing it. Of course do your chores tho! I know dishwashing sucks
