EPWA - EDDM - LGKR|15th July 2017|16Z-20Z

Postby SHM » Fri Jul 14, 2017 1:48 pm

Hi guys,

A small group of us (FG pilots) would be flying from EPWA to EDDM to LGKR on VATSIM. We would start at 16Z, but before that we would be hosting a tutorial at 15Z.

Everyone here is invited.

Route and other info will be posted soon.

All pilots would be connected to both VATSIM and fg-mp.

I suggest everyone to install all stuff before the event, so that we won't lose any time.

And its going to be really busy. :D

That can become interesting when one of the airports has ATC in both mp systems. Surely you'll then have the decency to follow instructions of the fg-mp ATC, and will neglect the VATSIM ATC? (in the end you are flying fg aircraft, how else would you connect to fg-mp)

Kind regards, Vincent

Neglect fg atc if there is one already.

We would tell them before hand that we are on vatsim and will not follow them.
But nobody usually controls these airports, so it should be fine.

Would that choice in any way be influenced by fear for the fact that if you ignore a VATSIM ATC, you have a good chance of being banned for life? If you ignore a fg-mp ATC, he'll just ignore you too for the session only, to avoid unnecessary hinder of pilots who do not play the game. That is a much easier choice for ignoring, is it not?

Don't worry, come along.
Nobody will atc those airports.
Sadly we have to be connected to fg-mp if we want to see the vatsim planes.

Honestly, why would anyone connect to VATSIM if he doesn't want atc? Lol

Ow, let me give you a tip on vatsim for a change then. I tried it, but found out i did not need the "out-port" to fg-mp. So i set that empty or 0 or so. You only need the in-port. Without the out-port you do not give any output of yourself to fg-mp, and thus do not hinder anyone in fg-mp.

Tried it, but it still outputs it. I will try again.

In my guide, this is what I told
FG's multiplayer-in option should be activated with "--multiplay=in,10,,5000" specifically, do not include an IP address. This will allow SquawkGear to inject Vatsim traffic into FG as multiplayer objects.
Multiplay 1: out,10,mpserver01.flightgear.org,0
Multiplay 2: in,10,,5000

And were you able to connect to VATSIM? Now/Are you talking about past experience?

Default model is DLH-A320. Instead of blue-yellow.
