“Screaming Orcas” Test Flight Group is Being Formed!

Free Flight Free Speech is proud to announce the formation of its aircraft testing division, the Screaming Orcas Test Flight Group.

Screaming Orcas are led by Chief Test Pilot and CEO, SkyBoat and T-URBO, Chief Test Pilot and Chief of Operations.

Our mission is to assist Free Flight members who are developers and any others who request our services by flight testing their planes. A coordinated plan for test flights will be put together by the developer and the test pilot. The test flights will look for the issues and a report given to the developer and entered into the Group’s database.

Screaming Orca’s Headquarters are located at the Terminus Hanger (Hanger #3) at KXTA (Homey AFB) and most flights will be staged from there, although, if the developer wants the plane to be tested in another area of the world, that request will be accommodated.

The Group will soon be announcing opening for test pilots. There will be an advancement system similar to the virtual airlines pilot rank.

This is a preliminary announcement because we are early in our planning stage, so watch for updates in the coming weeks for more details and when we post our openings for the test pilot positions.

So now we need a standardized test protocol? As I have at the moment no time to write database solutions, how will that be organized?

@JWocky-- No worries. I know you are swamped right now. T-URBO and I are going to design all the protocols and the report forms. We've already had a very productive afternoon discussing how to get things set up. We wrote this post today to give everyone a heads up. We have a quite a bit of work to do before we even will begin accepting applications for test pilots. It probably will be a few weeks and with the coming holidays, there will be lots of distractions there, too. So the plan is to get things developed and then when you have a time slot open, and you think you can have some time, then we will give you one of the things we'd like to have done. I'll give you more detail the next time we talk in person.

@bomber-- We've been working on setting up the organizational detail. Making very good progress. Keep an eye out for our announcement when we start accepting applications for test pilots. We're setting this up so everyone has a chance to fly and have a great time!
