However creating tools requires that we understand the design process and any variations we require between authentic and fun..
My idea of a tool would be one that leads a person through the design, using web based data sources and proprietary tools such as java prop foil and spreadsheets collating the results and formating it into required xml files.

See, even if one does some magic numbers for the fun of it, it should be intentional, not just because of not knowing better.
And some web-based sources are good, JavaProp for example, others not so much, so I guess, we need to do some math and checks and tests before we can put web-based sources in the lists. And then, it is of course also a questions, what form should such tools have. Web-based? Downloadable plane calculator?

Well I do flight models..... what we need is a tool maker.
