you can't launch in an airport not existing in the apt.dat.gz
$FG_ROOT/Airports/apt.dat.gz

Thus, the way I do it, is I launch with a lat, lon, heading set

You won't be able to launch directly on KEBD, because Flightgear still does not recognize the ICAO (nor it will for a year or more)... so I recommend, for now use the following coordinates, if you wish to try it out

Well with a degree of trepidation and heart in throat, I will be climbing into the Air Crane and joining the fray in what will likely be the most entertaining, if not chaotic, leg of the USA tour to date. Wouldn't want to miss it because I'll always want to be able to say I was there right in the middle of it!
