What plane is this with glass FMS?
This is the Albotros-CI. I stole the EADI/EHSI out of the BAe-125, and the Magnetic Compass came out of the Ryan Navion.
You know I don't recall if the CI has it in ..Models/Panel/Instruments/ but there should be a lower wing mount magnetic compass in the compass folder.
Actually I like your fix, it's good for night flights

. Better than holding a penlight in your mouth or mounting a few Christmas lights run off the Sidcot flight-suit heater generator, in the cockpit, like some crews did for night bombing.
There is a description for a wing compass but I don't see it if it is mounted. Also, there is what I think is a compass that shows half-exposed in the lower left part of the cockpit, half hidden behind the dash coaming - that might be the wing compass misplaced?
My only problem is that while the attitude indicator works on the EADI it does not show roll. I think there's an analog turn bubble on the bottom trim of the indicator, but it's covered up in the Albatros. But the roll doesn't indicate on the BAe either - have never figured out if that's a defect or intentional to this model. It's a last bug for me to solve... may do that now, or may just ATCsimulate for awhile, or may fly from KBMI or KLAS to KPVD in a business jet now. ETA: Did that now. Discovered that the transform type for roll was " texrotate " and FG demands it be "texrotate." So not only fixed my chopper-Albatros, but also fixed my BAe as well. Which lets me do the warm up flight into Providence.

I like the Christmas-light idea, that would be a cool way to light up the cockpit.

I did do one patten last night at KXTA (which is VERY dark on the outside pattern,) and the ADI/HSI pair was very helpful.

Primarily props / twins and small business/personal jets. IRL home airport KBMI, FG homes KLAS / KXTA.
Favorites: Cessna 421 "Golden Eagle," Twin Otter, BAe-125. A plane isn't my plane until I've modded the cockpit to the way I like it.
