SHM has been finally banned

The Club of all those banned or deleted form the "official" FlightGear forum for speaking out political inconvenient truths or just things, the rulers over there didn't want to hear.

I am sorry lego, but I disagree with you here, Totally!!

A.
Firstly, it further splits the community.

Forking FG does not have the potential to cause damage as much as the acts of the "inner-club" (Bugman, Thorsten, and Curtis)
They ARE splitting the community beyond any repair.

B.
I don't know any C++, and I don't think anyone else does

You are understimating yourself. Did you know much of 3d/2d artwork? Nasal? or modelling before you began producing content for FG?
I think you are a fast learner, and with the proper motivation core-development is something you could nicely add to your arsenal.
Also, you are understimating much of all us without knowing our real coding abilities.

For once, I do know c++ a bit. Not a guru, but I can code well, and hunt bugs on C++-Space.
Also, not only I can but I do compile FG for my own use. And making a Jenkins server to handle compiling is not otherworldly difficult.

Many others here may have the ability and the interests to learn FG core code on its bones (the C++ - Space), so I wont just disqualify them on first base just as Curtis and their Treasure protectors like to do,

Thorsten keeps claiming we are lying by saying FGMEMBERS is not a FG fork. Well... he is full of shit, and that's now an statistically proven fact.

But on the other hand, forking FG is not an impossible, nor an immoral task.

which goes into C.

Finally, it makes us look even worse... like the other scammers

Really? you think it would make us look even worse? Do you know this imply we look bad?!!

Actually, from my seat, we have never looked bad, as we always have protected the basic GPL freedoms of FG from the "inner-club" of core-clowns., and wannabe-kings (defined above). The low-stooping is every-time done by them. That you don't see it is perplexing.
How we can look worse if we don't even have looked bad?!

Finally, in GPL software, forking is not a crime. It's an action, one that the license itself encourages.

That fake propaganda that forking is hostile, or what not... that kind of statements, I say, hold no value except lowering my opinions on Curt and his "smurfs".

So, bottom line, that I don't want to fork does not mean that we can't, nor that we would not eventually need to. In the meantime, it is only convenient for us to let them do and take their work. Unless they break FG in pieces and we are left force to recover the Phoenix from the ashes, which, in such case, I wont' feel any shame of doing.

JWocky had wanted to do a poll to determine our battery of programming skills (who here knows Java, C++, perl, python, 3D graphics rendering). Just to test the waters. I kind of have held him to it.

But, the most important point, just remember, all that propaganda that FGMEMBERS would look bad if eventually (or if it had) forked FG is the most insane and baseless joke of the scaremongers.

Think about it

:D

I'm probably close to getting banned, but I don't want to, since working with tikibar is a pleasure.

SHM, just to keep you informed....

Curtis is now running incriminating comments against you in the Devel.list, by inculpating you on alleged DDoS attacks on the Flightgear webpage.

This is the content:

Hope the admins can solve it.

Catalanoic,

Thanks,

I get this in Portugal:-

The connection has timed out

The server at http://www.flightgear.org is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments

And Finally, he goes long way and says

Curtis on the Devel.List wrote:Perhaps it's another parting message from the user we had to ban on the
forum earlier today.
He claimed he was a master of dynamic IP addresses,
registered himself a new account, and said we'd never be able to stop him.

Then he posted a nice message sharing his true thoughts about flightgear,
the forum, and the forum admins, which he was kind enough to summarize on
the other forum (although not precisely the same message, his summary
conveyed similar meaning). But there is no direct connecting evidence to
the DOS attack. Perhaps it's purely coincidence that we'd see a DOS
attempt on the main flightgear server later the same day. The dots are
certainly close together
, even though we don't have direct evidence to
connect them. When stuff like this happens, the first question to ask is
who would want to do this, and who would be capable of doing this? Often
that narrows the pool of suspects down pretty substantially.
Or it could
be totally random ... that happens too sometimes.
