Well Lester, any missions?
An agent to fetch from anywhere to deliver to HQ?
I could do a MP flight, AS LONG AS IT IS AFTER 1900 UTC on Saturday...?
Oh and we could strafe Germans on Hartmannswillerkopf (some name o_O) to support our troops?
It is a mountain northwest of Mulhouse and Cernay. If you go to Fellering and fly directish east, you will see it sometime.
Route: Giromagny (town to north of Chaux) to St Maurice, then east to Fellering, follow La Thur river to Moosch(those names kill me) and then fly direct east to the mountain. It is about 1000 metes high, overlooking the Rhine.

Re: Mission
Yeah, we could do the Hartmannswillerkopf flight. Why not make it a observation or bombing run?
Strafing with low powered planes is asking for getting shot down. one of Boelke's Dictas: conserve your altitude.

Re: Mission
OK
Sounds good!
I suppose it wouldn't do any harm to take some photos of the enemy artillery guns
We have a model of a gun in the LFGG-WW1, right?
If so, we could drop some bottles -- they make a wierd whistle when dropped from altitude
Then the gunners will run away and we can photograph or shoot up the guns

Re: Mission
OK, today's briefing: close ground support and recon over the German outpost on the Hartmannswillerkopf, a fiercely defended watchpost that has been a thorn in the side of the 9th Armee defending the hills directly east of the German disputed zone.
Our mission will have us flying the M-S L camera plane and for escort with a Morane-Saulnier BB with small grenades and defensive gun, should our friends at KEK Habshiem decide to interrupt our over-flight. The meteorological office is reporting widely scattered low clouds over much of the Rhine valley. So we may have to loiter some over the target to get good photographs.
Which I don't have to remind you all, increases our chances of encounters with German patrols, which with their new Fokker monoplanes have been making our operations more risky.
Expect to arrive at the target at 7000 feet and have the BB crew patrol a few kilometersto the south and east to draw off any German patrols. Try to not get too separated, and if you do, break off the reconnoiter and head West to regroup above La Thur valley.
Should be a quick flight, but be careful.

Any ideas for next week, besides driving to Corsiuex?
3-4 hours is fine, but shorter is beter.
