Today reports that KSFO is broken in FGFS are showing around in the devel list (E. Hoffman reported)

Noticeably, by using terraGIT, KSFO Launches just fine, so I suggest the problem is strictly related to terrasync, not to the simulator

This is certainly interesting....

As far as I understood, no-one attempted to "patch" continental pieces of the terrain in terrasync because of the big problem existing with the tile boundaries seams.

Interestingly enough, someone with direct commit access to terrasync DID attempt to update the data, and failed.

This is how KSFO looks like with the newest terrain data in terrasync. Clearly there are serious data conflicts, that definitely have succeeded putting KSFO out of business.... for any terrasync user!.

I'll say that althought not many people have commit access to terrasync, those that do, are actually the wrong set of people.

IKR!! Total face-palm

On the positive side of all of this, is, that if you are clever enough to go-round the infinite loop this causes at lauching, you get a perfect 60fps score at KSFO :oops: :lol: 8-) :shock: :oops: :mrgreen: :ugeek: :ugeek:

Yeah, it's pretty funny. I keep getting told it's working, and that I need to input string X into FG on launch... oh, wait... no, it's without the "".... try again... oh, wait, do the http: one instead.... oh, wait, I guess I have to get rid of the ":" now... oh wait... is it working? no...

"Oh, but it's working for me Lydiot"

Almost exactly one week later the same person goes: "Anyone having problems with Terrasync?"

Haven't managed to Terrasync-load an airport in over a month....

If I need a tile I'll grab it manually. I was just saying that every now and then I try TS and it doesn't work.

My problem with terraGIT, btw, is that I will always have to download HUGE 10x10 degree tiles which takes years for me, even when I only fly in one of the 100 tiles...
