The Mystery of intro.mp3

Postby FL2070 » Sun Aug 28, 2016 12:36 am

In FlightGear, a strange file called intro.mp3 can be found under $FGDATA/Sounds/intro.mp3. This sound is stereo (which FG does not accept) and does not appear to be in wav format...

Can anyone shed light on this mystery?

no idea what's that for, but the file has been in FGDATA since commit #1 in gitorious.
So, it lived there for looots of time.

I think it was meant to play as "Intro music" (if selected) while the game was loading, probably never really happened or worked fine.
