USA TOUR Leg 2 completed!
Welcome to Texas at the end of the second leg of USA TOUR today Sep2nd!
The positive of it: I have lots of fun. I personally thank all the support, patience and friendliness of Omega, who served as ATC in Texas' Airports.
The negative side of it: It is still quite lonesome back there. We missed scheduled pilots too.
I keep the good aim though, and I will reinvite everyone else to join me in this tour/competition. Perhaps along the lines I can grab enthusiast gamers that feel like I did: A deal lot of willing to fly but not obvious "next destination".
For details, if you get interested, visit my older introductory post here
http://www.flightgear.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17257
Wrapping up, USA tour has visited Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Texas with this course:
(leg1) KPHL -> KOKC _CitationX; (leg2) KOKC -> KIAH -> KHOU _Seneca II
If you get encouraged to join, remember I really welcome everyone that is willing to, regardless of experience and ability to flight. I can say much of my own, and my landing is still some kind of weird "bouncing" back to land :$

GENERAL INFORMATION
The USA Tour competition is a community organized competition of virtual flying on the FlightGear platform. We believe this is the first of its kind;
and we will be happy if you join and play with us in this multiplayer event that will take place in the FlightGear servers.
This two-year competition consists of bi-weekly events, where contestants will gather together and fly from and to a main Airport in each of the
Largest City of every state or territory on the U.S.A, and arriving its last 57th trip to
FlightGear's Home base, San Francisco International Airport. The whole game travels through a total distance of about 85ooo nm, or about 4 circumnavigations!!
The competition is not A RACE!. contestants are expected to follow IFR flying rules, and will be directed by a real person serving as ATC at every airport.
The distance for every leg is highly variable, and they can be as short as 20 nm or as long as 7900 nm. Every trip departs from the arriving airport of the
previous game and goes to the following state or territory. The leg location will be only revealed up to 2 weeks before the event takes places, and
always after a previous event has concluded. No player (with the exception of organizers) know these locations.
Every contestant will play with the selected aircraft for the given leg. Aircrafts will/may be different for the legs and it will also be anounced only at a maximun of 2 weeks
before the event takes place. We will explore many of the game's aircrafts, including jets, civilian, military, mono or multiple propellers, and helicopters.
A player do not have to attend every event. A system of points is used to qualify every competing pilot performance and a cumulative total will be use to determine
the player's rank. Points are assigned to fly time, accuracy for take off, route, and landing, and follow of ATC proccedures --NOT BASED ON SPEED.
ATC serves in the role of pilot rule
EVERYBODY is welcome to join. From pilots wanting to play, or seasoned simulator flyers to absolute FlightGear begginers.
ATCs will be serving the airports using preferentially FGCom, but also with the chat function of your FlightGear program.
Make sure you install the Aircraft Citation X
