I agree with lydiot. Being a regular he doesn't get angry at me now, but there was an instance where he got me to try out P3d and VATSIM and I enjoy it much more.
He should really learn to control his anger.

Hi Oscar,
Read back should be within seconds, so half a minute is really a long time. Particularly on radio it is very irritating for everyone, when someone decides to take his time before read back. Everyone is holding their requests to keep the channel free for the person to read back. I generally give them no more than 10 seconds.
You may want to try this experiment: Deliberately wait half a minute before every of your read backs. You will notice yourself how long that is, and ATC will tell you to read back more quickly.
Entering the runway may not be a big deal in this case. But if this person does it here, he does it also anywhere else where it is a big deal. Therefore it is good to take the time to teach him in this non-critical situation. But when the guy comes with a smart-ass remark, indicating that he does not want to learn, then it is game over for today.
Game over is again a learning moment (it only lasts for the current session). Ask yourself the question: What did i do wrong? And learn from the answers, so next time you do not make the same mistake again. Or you can choose to start yelling, indicating that you do not want to learn, and make the same mistakes over and over again.
A controlled area works by certain rules, you really need to know when entering that airspace. Doing some homework in advance can help you a lot. Daweed made a post on the other forum with links to some useful documents.

And i must agree with Daweed that the rule set applied at EDDF is one of the most basic ones. Jomo chooses this so to give beginners a chance. But when they are not interested in learning to adhere to this most basic rule set, there are not many options left, are there?
Kind regards, Vincent

Re: EDDF-Triangle
I think the main thing is the effect of education. If you enter a runway without permission, e.g. because you have just downloaded flightgear, found the mp server and by chanced met an ATC at your favourite airport, and then that ATC immediately starts "yelling" (writing in caps lock, many many !!!!!!!!) you might rather think "Oh, that guy seems to be out of control and some kind of insane" rather that thinking "Oops, I did an error, let's try to remember how to do it correctly and do it better next time", which I think rather comes when the ATC calmly explains you what you did wrong and how that is dangerous and how to do it better.

I fully agree with that. I am astonished by the patience he has with trying to educate people, who are clearly abusing him in showing their unwillingness to learn. He should ignore these people much quicker, so the frustration does not get at him.

Re: EDDF-Triangle
How can you be sure a pilot is not willing to learn and not just equally frustrated by being shouted at for every small mistake?

Yes, Jomo clearly listens to comments made to him. One of the most heard excuses for not reacting to an ATC request is: I did not notice the message between all the other ones. So Jomo adapts, and makes the message more prominent.
Really, it makes no difference what he chooses to do, he either gets bitten by the dog or the cat. When knowing that, one might be a bit more thoughtful before entering a let's bash Jomo fest.
Kind regards, Vincent
