I'm thinking about doing another WWI historical themed event for sometime in late December or later in January.
I set up a Zeppelin Base near Gontrode in Belgium. I get the L-11 sorted a bit more, and we attempt a night raid on the London Dockyards.
The fun part of this is, we also have a few WWI aircraft to use as British home defense units, you can fly either Zepps or home defense high altitude fighters. the goals are to get your Zeppelin to the appointed area, fly around for a bit, and get back to base. The home defense team goals are to get a screenshot of the Zeppelin you are seeking, with you pouring a stream of tracers into it.
This has the potential to be an online disaster, but then also, when have any of my events ever 'worked as planned'?

I'll probably go "counter-" on some RAF plane

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

I get at least some machine guns at the Zeppelin too?

Given that the L-11 3D model came with a MG-gun nest on the upper- forward part of it's fuselage, yeah we can mount a gun there. Getting it to work with the submodels is another problem entirely.
Re: Testing the waters, London Zeppelin raid.
The MGs from the Albatross and Fokker is is easy to clone, we need only the positions in the model

Let me clarify, the submodels Nasal for turrets by 5H1N0B1 has a flaw, they track in the opposite direction in heading but not pitch.
Also the gun used almost exclusively by the Ideflieg for manned flexible aircraft gun turrets would be the Parabellum, with the big reel magazine.
The Albatros C.III model has a parabellum gun, it's 3D and texture artwork is from FS-WWI and is CC.

Yeah, I got to come up with something plausible for a home defense unit. Either an AVRO 504 with twin Lewis guns or a BE12 with similar.

I've got the airship aerodrome of Gontrode started.
Still need to make some searchlights and flak over London, and a plausible Home Defense airfield with some Royal Air Factory BE12's.

Lester, you got my email-addy? Please keep me updated, I hope to bring in some time to exercise with the zeppelin. Of course, I would volunteer then to play the "bad hun"
